Deviation Actions
I see some really great stories being told on deviantArt; and I really look forward to seeing their updates.
But it really frustrates me that artists always develop and proceed with their large projects alone. I understand that there are artistic authenticity and a want and need to deliver as close to the original idea as possible... but really once a story has enough fans in the deviantArt community, it should be possible to find people to help with some of the mundane tasks like type settings, colouring or just proofing.
In the programming world we're used to being able to grab someone's code without even asking them, shaking it up, developing a feature and helping them fix those pesky reported bugs. We are always invited to help share in the story and feel empowered to take up tools and defeat ill-working software. Why don't we have the same sense of collaboration in the art world?
