This is an image I've been working on for some time, spring is always a killer to such projects and I put them to one side, I'd almost finished this.

Thanks goes to ~meglyman for the sketch, she's really very good and inexpensive source of drawing talent.

This is a penguin me, a version of me made in penguin form. I'm english so I have a bowler and an umbrella, and a penguin because I'm a Free Software programmer and I'd rather be a penguin than a gnu (if one was to pick animals).

aw, thank you! I write and draw cartoons all over the place, and have no less than 5 bird characters of various species in various hats.

I've never been approached about doing commissions, and am rightly flattered! For you, anything! Let me know what you'd be interested in having, and I'll let you know how much I'd charge (you get the 'saying nice things about me' discount)

Well having lost my job today I'll be buying less art works then I usually do. But if the price is low and your willing to go cc-by-sa or similar (creative commons).

I'm also a programmer, so there is a chance to barter, my skills for yours :-).

Aw, you lost your job? And today of all days? No fair! What happened? What was the job? I fully understand the hesitancy towards tons more art buying (I too would be buying art all over the place if I had the money)

I wasn't going to be charging you much in any case, cash does tend to focus my brain on a project (like a lazer!) but I do really enjoy art for art's sake, and sharing the love.

What sort of programming do you do? Anything involved with web video games? I have been wanting one of those for my site for ages!

Hope you get a new, awesomer job, soon!

Oh the job was at Canonical, bit of a wrong fit, should never have tried to do QA instead of proper programming.

Anyway, I think I may take some time off before I rush right into another job. And I do a lot of programming of apps, Ubuntu based stuff. I avoid Windows and MacOSX because of ownership problems.

forgive me, I am woefully ignorant. I hardly understood any of those words. I personally have a Mac computer though1

Mac's aren't so much of a problem for none programmer types. It's like roads, do I want to make a car that only runs on VirginRoads(tm) or do I want to make something that will run on any road.
